Our club nights are getting to be quite popular with both members and guests and its good to see you all.  Those of you that didnt make it would have seen Colins excellent coverage by e-mail. The september one was the last with a pre-meeting ride out until next year as its not all that comfortable doing country lanes in the dark.

I missed a few bits in september but again, Colins e-mails will have kept you up to date. There is a lot coming up, including a ride out from the Alma later today. Our last club night was so well attended we took over a large part of the Alma, and it was a good chance to ask Dereck, the landlord about our next club night on November 2nd, which is a Quiz night organised by John Walsh. We have been allocated the large dining area so we are hoping for a good turnout.

I would like to remind you all about the photographic competition and to bring along your photos to the next couple of clubnights, in time for the presentation dinner which is scheduled for January 11th, venue yet to be decided. Colin and I will be getting together with a couple of others to decide on the awards in the near future so if you have any suggestions for deserving members this year please let us know. And of course those of you who had an award last time, if you could get the trophies back to one of us at the December club night , that would be helpful.

We will also be preparing a programme of rides and visits for next year. If any of you have an idea for a ride or a visit, do let us know.  And if you are prepared to organise the event, so much the better. There are several regular favorites but new ideas are always welcome. I noticed Duxford has a few new exhibits and it's a while since we have ben there for instance. Finally the next lunch meeting is November 29th at The Cock and Bell, Long Melford, 12-30 as usual. Dont forget these lunches are open to all, just e-mail Dot to get an idea of numbers. You can contact Colin and me by e-mail if we can be of help.
