The weather continued to frustrate our attempts to get out on the bikes.

The threat of snow caused the postponement of a breakfast run with John Swan from the Orwell bridge truck stop and similarly the trip to the Victoria in Earl Soham was abandoned for the same reason.

The good news is that six of us made it to The Victoria on Feb. 21st and although it was a bit chilly (OK it was V cold) we had a nice lunch and a natter, Colin being the only representative of the marque.

Despite the snow flurries and a considerable amount of water, debris and potholes we all had a safe journey home. I just about managed to keep up with Chris on his W650 on my 125 varadero. I reckon I was the only one using 10,000 rpm on the trip!

I missed the club night but I understand it was well attended with some dozen or so members attending.

Similarly the Lunch Meet at The Wooden Fender saw ten of us attending, with the addition of several of my grandchildren and parents. They all behaved and it was a good lunch.

Looking at my calendar for March, we have two runs scheduled.

Colins mystery tour on the 14th and a run to Shotley on the 21st.

Please contact John if you are in any doubt about timings etc, as we do consider the weather forecast nearer to the time. I for one am not too happy about riding in snow and ice.

There is the club night on the 6th and the ladies lunch on the 30th.

We hope to see you all at at least one or two of these events. Please keep an eye on the website for future events as there may be additional ones squeezed in during the year.

I hope to attend the Moto GP round at Aragon at the end of September. Anyone fancy a ride?

Safe Riding .Gordon
