I must apologise for the gap between updates but I have had a lot going on.

I took the bike to the Alma Classic show at the end of May, and several of us turned up and were made very welcome.

I missed the annual trip to Manningtree to meet up withy the East Suffolk section, which I understand was a bit down on numbers from both sections, which is a bit worrying.

We did make it to the Landmarsh Lion for the Ladies Lunch and there were twelve present and very good it was too.

I missed the June club night as I was on the way to Le Mans and I gather there were just six members in attendance. Unfortunately this is a busy time of the year for all classic vehicle owners

Once again I was away for the visit to the Longshop Museum in Leiston.Four members rode up and they once again found plenty of new things to see. I must make the effort to get there next time.

I must apologise for to Dot and everyone for forgetting completely the lunch meeting at the end of June, at The Hare and Houinds.Eight attended on a very wet day. Just a senior moment on my part.

There was a good turnout for the July club night with some 14 members, ten on two wheels. I lead a short run to Fingringhoe at the request of our leader.

I organised a run to the Aviation Museum at Bungay as john couldn’t make it. I met John Swann at Sproughton and we had a nice ride out through the Suffolk countryside, with a detour to Cake Street Classics. There is a lot to see, although we felt the V Bomber display was a bit sparse.

I understand George has now got two AJS machines up and running and a Douglas is near completion.

The Ladies Lunch on 26th is at The Donkey and Buskins.A bit Deja Vu for some of us.

The Next Club night is on the 6th of August and I hope we will have a bit of a ride out starting at 7pm.

I understand that Russell has a run organised for August 14th leaving the Alma at 9 am. More details will soon be available.

Don’t forget the Hadleigh Club show on Sunday August 17th. Several of us belong to this club and it would be good to see you there, celebrating their 30th anniversary.

I understand that some of our club officials have decided to go green and install solar panels. No wonder it keeps raining!
